On May 31st, Panasonic hosted an online STEM education experience for 21 junior high and high school students, including a question and answer time with a 5-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer, Katie Ledecky.
This event was held for the children staying home due to the new coronavirus pandemic, and also to promote the importance of STEM education. The first of two sessions, was a group workshop session with one STEM professional in each group, interacting with students in English, followed by a question and answer session with Katie Ledecky.
For a question for Ledecky "What was the biggest obstacle to overcome?", she answered "staying healthy", and added “as long as you can learn from the challenges and the hard times, they can still be marked as successes.”

Ledecky is working hard to do her best performance for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. She said that the one year postpone of the Olympics is also a challenge, but she wants to learn some more and improve in her swimming.
